Licurici, Umbra de viță and Xanthoria are three single web pages. Each runs full screen in Chrome on one computer and has no beginning and no end. Camera frames are processed on the page and never sent anywhere; nothing is recorded. Engram is the exception: see below.
WHAT EACH WORK NEEDS
LICURICI
- Screen or projector, 1920×1080.
- A computer with a discrete GPU (a gaming laptop is fine): the air is a fluid simulated on the graphics card.
- Speakers — the work has sound.
- Webcam optional: with it, visitors move the air with their hands; without it, touch or a mouse.
UMBRA DE VIȚĂ
- Screen or projector, 1920×1080; any recent computer. Silent, no camera.
- Best projected onto a real whitewashed wall.
XANTHORIA
- Screen or projector, 1920×1080; any recent computer. Silent.
- Webcam optional. The lichen grows only while the whole camera frame is still, so a camera
watching a busy room keeps the stone bare: for a crowd, run it without the camera
(
?cam=0) or aim the camera at one bench.
ENGRAM
- Screen or projector (1920×1080 or 1366×768), any recent computer, a webcam at face height, and one button: a large arcade button that types a space, or a touch screen. Silent.
- Internet is required: each visitor costs about nine calls to Claude. The web address uses the artist's server with a daily limit; for an exhibition the work runs from its own small server on the venue computer (the artist sets it up, with its own key and limit).
- One loop: countdown, the photograph, the retellings as they are written, the epitaph; then the words stay on screen for the next visitor, without the face.
DURATION
Endless; there is no loop to restart. Licurici in kiosk mode (?clean)
falls asleep after 60 seconds without visitors; whoever comes in sees it wake
over 6 seconds (on the site it waits 240 seconds; in ?demo it never
sleeps). Umbra de viță follows the real day and night over Chișinău. Xanthoria
grows while the room is still and remembers its colonies in the browser between
runs; R clears the stone.

KIOSK · CHROME ON WINDOWS
One line per work, for a shortcut or the command prompt. The last two flags let the sound start and the camera open without anyone clicking. Alt+F4 leaves the kiosk.

OFFLINE
Each work is one HTML file and also runs from a local copy without a network, with two differences: the typefaces fall back to the system's, and Licurici loads its hand-recognition model from the internet at start. Without a network its camera reads motion only — the air still moves, but hands make no gestures.
CAMERA NOTICE FOR THE WALL

A camera is on in this room: it reads movement and hands in real time; no image is stored or transmitted.
For Engram the notice is different, because one photograph does leave the room:
